Extraordinary HBLF CEO Forum with János Áder

With the UN climate conference just a few weeks away, what are businesses doing — and what should they be doing —  to prepare for Paris? Expectations are high. Are we ready for a strong global agreement, a rapid change in consumer habits, a carbon-neutral economy? We are running out of time, but the solutions are within reach. The required technological and procedural adjustments will, in fact, contribute to economic development by enhancing resource efficiency and the circular economy.
A fundamental transformation is expected to take place in the Hungarian economy by the EU’s climate pledges. A climate-friendly, green economy will quickly gain ground in areas such as industrial production, water management, transportation, agriculture and the building sector since a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions of at least 40 percent has been approved.
Climate protection is our common responsibility. Innovative Hungarian companies and researchers have put forward some internationally recognized solutions in the past decades. This extraordinary HBLF CEO Forum will analyze the role of the business sector regarding mitigation and adaptation capacities, financing issues, and preparedness.
