XIII. HBLF Wheelchair Basketball Competition

 

HBLF continues to help regularly playing wheelchair athletes with its charity competition while also creating the opportunity for the staff of member companies to get to know each other or to recall and practice this wonderful sport that forges teams so well and enhances the ability to fight.

 

 

Besides the “regulars” who return year on year, newly joining companies also entered. Some companies supported the event by paying the entry fee only. Some teams arrived with a long list of replacement on the bench, and they had better chances to reach victory. Eight teams entered the tournament, and after drawing lots, all of them could play at least three matches during the day.

 

It was Hungarian Telekom Plc. that won the tournament and received the Challenge Cup they can keep until the next such competition. The Cup was with the Tesco-Global Áruházak Ltd. the past year, and they lost only in the finals, but with the beautiful team efforts and with fans it contributed a lot to the great atmosphere on this Saturday. The third place was taken by the Morgan Stanley Hungary Analysis Ltd. team.
