Apply for the X Mentor programme

Conditions of participation

The HBLF X Mentor Programme was initially created to support women leaders, but from 2023 it will be open to men from all sectors and professions, including profit and non-profit organisations, who want to develop. The key to the success of the programme is that the mentored person must be committed, able to articulate what they want to develop and what they expect from the programme.

The HBLF International X Mentor Program Mentors are men and women with years of leadership experience who are committed to developing others. We support our mentors with coaching sessions, professional materials and supervision. Mentor and mentee consultations are based on mutual agreement between mentor and mentee, however, it is expected that they meet at least 10 times (virtually and/or in person) during the programme.

The program will start in May 2026 and will run for one full year.

The participation fee for mentees must be settled within 1 month of the mentor–mentee matching (May 2026). Payment options: bank transfer or online payment. If you choose bank transfer, please make sure to provide your billing details on the application form and select the option indicating that you prefer to pay via bank transfer.

HBLF is a non-profit organisation. The maximum amount of the fee will be used to promote the equal opportunities theme and to co-ordinate, administer and communicate the mentoring programme. Mentors and programme supporters will carry out their activities pro bono.

In line with our values, we provide three scholarship places in our program for professionals working in non-profit (civil sector) organizations. If you are applying for a scholarship, please send your CV and motivation letter to hblf@hblf.hu.

˝Not only did I develop a lot professionally during the personalised mentoring programme, but my mentor Nikos Zois, CEO of Heineken Hungária Zrt., opened up new perspectives that helped me to see more clearly and make changes that support my professional development. The direct, trusting relationship allowed us to discuss all challenges honestly and find solutions together - I can only recommend this fantastic opportunity to everyone!˝

dr. Zsófia Fekete

mentee (2024-2025)

˝In coping with new professional challenges, the support of an experienced mentor was extremely helpful and boosted my confidence. My mentor Andrea Solti and I developed a close friendly relationship, meeting monthly and discussing issues over breakfast. I would recommend the programme to anyone who wants to talk to more experienced managers about workplace issues or stumbling blocks, as well as to those who want to become more confident. These experiences will be valuable in the long term.˝

mentee (2024-2025)
