The group photo taken on Deloitte’s rooftop terrace captures it perfectly: despite the gloomy weather, the atmosphere at the HBLF International X Mentoring Program’s kickoff and closing event was exceptionally lively.
The program participants—the graduating mentees, mentors, and the new members of the 9th cohort—celebrated the achievements of the past year and the new beginnings together at Deloitte’s headquarters. During the event, the graduates also received their certificates in a formal ceremony.
Opening remarks were delivered by Andrea Istenesné Solti, President of HBLF, and our host, Tamás Zemlényi, Talent Director at Deloitte (South-East Europe Cluster).
One of the key focuses of this year’s 9th cohort is psychological safety, a theme that was already highlighted at this event. The Momentán Theater Company’s improvisational performance offered lighthearted yet thought-provoking moments through the theme of making mistakes, which were further enriched by the professional commentary of Dr. Mónika Dura, founder and CEO of the Mindwell Psychological Center.
It was a special pleasure for us to have Rosy Khanna as our featured speaker, who has been mentoring in the program from Washington for four years now. Rosy is a former executive at the IFC (World Bank Group), a member of the investment committees of ILX and SEACEF II, and a university lecturer.
We thank our mentors and mentees for being with us on this day, and for letting the rainy weather not get in the way of our shared celebration and connection, which is what truly makes this community strong. A huge thank you to the Deloitte team for once again hosting the HBLF community!
