2024.10.02. Balanced Boards for Sustainable Performance

The Hungarian Business Leaders Forum (HBLF), in collaboration with the European Women on Boards (EWOB) and the Institute of Directors (IoD), organizes its event titled „Balanced Boards for Sustainable Business Performance" on October 2, 2024, in Budapest.

According to the European Parliament's 2022 directive, at least 33 percent of board positions in publicly listed companies should be filled by the underrepresented gender by June 30, 2026. However, in Hungary, the proportion of female leaders is exceptionally low, at only 10.5%. Numerous studies and analyses have shown that companies with gender-balanced leadership teams perform better in business.

This occasion will convene 100 executives and business leaders to explore the topic of balanced boards from various perspectives alongside HBLF's national and international business partners.
