Introduction

I have a degree in economics and in law and, as an adult, a Certificate of Management Excellence from Harvard Business School.
I have spent nearly two decades in the banking sector, managing various business areas, most of it in retail. From there I switched industries and continued with other players in the retail sector.

Most of my work has been and continues to be with consumers, customers and clients. My business successes are mainly centred around issues where something needed to be put on a new growth trajectory. I believe that progressiveness and innovation are important, but more importantly, how to translate them into services that are understandable and attractive to consumers. I think diversity is important, the potential of differences, both within a team and between companies. I see collaboration as one of the most important trends in retail in the coming years. It is important that values, integrity and ethics can be at least as important as business performance indicators in business.
