Norbert Tamás

Introduction

I graduated with a degree in economics from what is now known as Corvinus University of Budapest, and I earned a second degree from Metropolitan University with an Executive MBA in IT.

I have over 6 years of experience in the banking sector (Raiffeisen, Allianz) in the field of receivables management. Following the launch of Allianz Bank, I helped establish the collections department from the ground up with a colleague, and later managed the entire department on my own.

I have over 15 years of experience in the energy sector (E.ON, currently MVM), where I managed multiple departments, building several of them from the ground up. My areas of expertise include receivables management, operations management, regulatory management, robotics (RPA), business-side management of IT projects at the project and portfolio levels, and currently data governance.

Why would you like to join the HBLF International X Mentor Programme?

I participated as a mentee last season, and I would love to try my hand at being a mentor as well, since I’ve gained quite a bit of experience over the past few decades, particularly in team building, people management, change management, and strategy development. I enjoy supporting others; I believe in the idea that we can achieve more together and in constructive dialogue.

Have you had a mentor or have you mentor before? What has it given to you? 

Last season, I was a mentee; it was an amazing experience. I learned a great deal from my mentor, gained valuable insights, and we developed a very good relationship. At the open house for this season, we were one of the panel discussion pairs. At my current workplace, although not in a formal capacity, I support one of my senior colleagues; we’ve already discussed several of his leadership dilemmas, and I’ve helped resolve them by sharing my experiences.
