Zsuzsanna Túros-Székely

Introduction

My name is Zsuzsanna Túrós-Székely; I am a second-generation owner of the Mendola Investment Group, managing director of LaMajole and co-founder of the GIMMIE start-up. I have been building businesses for over twenty years, from developing the family business to launching start-ups. What is closest to my heart is strategy development, scaling, organisational development and supporting generational succession. I believe that the foundation of long-term success lies in trust in people and well-structured systems. As a mentor, I would like to pass on my own experiences, whilst also learning from those I have the privilege of working with.

Why would you like to participate in the HBLF International X Mentor Program?

I believe that experience is truly valuable when we pass it on. Over more than twenty years, I have had the opportunity to develop a family business, build new business lines and start-ups, and mentor leaders. I would like to support female leaders with a practical approach – women who dare to dream big and create long-term value. At the same time, for me, mentoring is a two-way learning process: it provides inspiration and new perspectives that help me to continually develop as a leader myself.

Have you ever had a mentor, or have you ever mentored someone? What did that mean to you?

As a mentor, I have been involved for several years in the F2F Youth for Youth programme, as well as the Transylvanian Mentoring Programme, where I support young entrepreneurs and start-ups on strategic and organisational development issues. I have also had the opportunity to develop as a mentee: last year, I took part in mentoring as part of the WILL Programme, which provided me with valuable new perspectives and leadership experience. I believe that the true value of mentoring lies in mutual learning.
