At the HR Workshop meeting, we took a closer look at the "Golden Cage" research—the dark sides and turning points of leadership success stories.

Following a welcome address by Ibolya Gothárdi (Head of the HBLF HR Workshop), Attila Bokor (OD Partner) presented the latest findings from the "Golden Cage" study, a research project that has been ongoing for more than 20 years and has tracked the career paths of nearly fifty leaders.

Spanning a quarter of a century, the research examines how leaders’ careers evolve from early outstanding success through to the ages of 50–60—how their sense of achievement, autonomy, risk of burnout, potential for renewal, and desire to “leave a mark” change. Through authentic and deeply human examples, Attila illustrated the internal turning points, dilemmas, and needs for redefinition that leaders encounter at various stages of their careers.
The participants were able to relate deeply to these stories—for many, they clearly resonated with their own experiences, organizational situations, or leadership journeys.

Thank you to MSCI Inc. for hosting the event and to all participants for their active engagement!
